Zotero causing Word to crash

Hi. Every time I try to use Zotero to add a citation it causes Word to crash. I tried downloading the bug fix from a previous thread and it's still happening. What is going on? How can I fix this?

Which Zotero version, which Word version, do you get any error message in Word, and does this happen in a new document too or only in an existing one?

@dposthum Does your document have anything in Track Changes? If so, try accepting all changes, and see if that clears it up.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm using Zotero 5.0 for Windows (stand-alone version with Word plugin) and Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013. I get an error message when I try to add a citation and it says "Microsoft Word has stopped working and is checking for solutions." Happens every time, in new documents or old documents, with or without track changes. Please help!

Any ideas on how to fix this? I really need to get this taken care of as I use Word and Zotero every day at work. Any help would be much appreciated. @adamsmith @fbennett Thanks in advance.

Word integration is mainly @adomasven 's territory -- he'll chime in. We haven't had many reports of anything like this on Windows as far as I can tell -- could you get us the exact Word version you're running?

@adamsmith We have a significant number of these reports, but I have not been able to reproduce this consistently and nobody has provided steps that reliably reproduce it either.

@dposthum if you only have Word window open at the time, does the crash still occur?

@adamsmith @adomasven I just installed Office 365 and now the problem seems to be fixed. I'll keep you posted, but hopefully this will work smoothly now.
