SnapShot, new user

I just downloaded zotero and am not understanding the snapshot feature. I see that jpg files are being saved in a storage folder, but when I click on the child item and right click view snap shot, it opens the web page. I thought it would open the jpg

    The snapshot is a snapshot of the page you are looking at when you click the icon, together with its dependencies (graphics, CSS styling etc).

    If you just want to save an image from a web page, just drag the image from the page to Zotero.
