Unable to prevent zotero to modify the changes I made in the citations
I have used zotero word plugin intensively to cite the sources. I frequently have to cite paragraph numbers (when the source is a judgment). Two problems keep happening recently.
1. When I cite for example "p.23, para.24" the citation in the word would show "p.23, para24", missing the dot in between.
2. When I have manually put the dots after the paragraph numbers, the Zotero would ask whether I'd like to preserve my modifications, and I clicked "yes" but nevertheless the dots after the paragraphs disappear any way!
I find this is quite annoying and does anyone know what the problem is? I use the Zotero 5.0.38, and the style I normally use is the Canadian uniform citation style.
Thanks!

adamsmithuse the suffix field for the paragraph number rather than adding it to the page number -- adding it to the page number, Zotero recognizes the para. as an abbreviation and styles it according to whatever the style has programmed (which apparently is para without period)
