Zotero slowing down

Hi,

Increasingly, the save function ("create new item from current page") is slowing down. It is taking increasingly long for each new item to be saved. This slowing down is coincidental to the cumulative quantity of stuff saved in Zotero.

Can I fix this?

I am using Zotero V1.0.9 and Firefox V3.0.10

    it shouldn't really be an issue no.
    If your system allows,
    ( http://www.zotero.org/support/which_version )
    you could try switching to 1.5b (which generally performs better)-
    as many here have noted, the beta really only refers to the sync features, if you use 1.5b like 1.0.9 it's perfectly stable.
