ZotFile can not attach new file

After I open Zotero for a time, it can not attach new file through Zotfile. I need to restart the app to attach new file. BTW, I am using the Mac version.

    how exactly are you trying to attach files?

    I download the pdf in my folder, then right click the item in Zotero, choose attach new file. But the Zotfile has no response. I need to restart the app to make it response.

    Do you have a source folder set in the General tab of Zotfile preferences? Note that that option is intended for use of Zotfile's "source folder" feature (e.g., to grab the most recently downloaded file in your Downloads folder). In most cases, it is easier to either drag the PDF from your computer into Zotero or to use the Zotero "Add Attachment" option in the Zotero context menu (higher up in the right-click menu).

    Yes, I have set the source folder. Mostly, I will download the paper and it's convenient to use Zotfile to attach new file.
