zotero 1.5 and word 2004...issues!
Afternoon All!
Just downloaded 1.5 to my macbook which runs student/teacher Word 2004. My reference library is still there (praise be!) but I can no longer 'insert Zotero citation' as previously. I am told by the alert that the plug-in is incompatible with the 1.5 database of refs.
I may be a bit dumb (well, in fact, almost certainly am!) but the other plug-ins that I have downloaded (the more up-to-date ones) don't seem to make any difference. When I download them I move them into my 'Applications folder.. is this what I am doing wrong?
Any help much appreciated by a zotero novice!
Cheers

"Mac Word 2004 is not currently supported by Zotero 1.5, though a compatible version is planned."
I think there might be an alpha version of the plugin somewhere - otherwise your options are to revert to 1.0.10 again or to switch to Open Office 3.1 - which is probably at least equal to Word 2004.
I guess there is an element of 'should have read the small print' eh? Many thanks for clearing this up for me. I'll give uninstalling 1.5 a punt and see how I get along but I'll have a look at OPen Office too- new to OSS in general so, here goes....
Thanks for the advice
Found the plugin, installed it but still no joy... I wonder what I might be doing wrong? Installed it to the h/d (as prompted), but nada...
I'll stick with it for a day or so and then rethink my options... thanks for your help though.
Having said all of this... I have got hold of OpenOffice 3.1 and, well, it seems just as good (to a dunce like me) as Word 2004 (as stated above). Beginning to wonder why so much hard-earned is parted with for certain brand packages! All a bit of an eye-opener really!
Cheers
