Error report ID 183512327

I use Zotero (what a great software!!) on 2 computers, laptop at home, workstation in the office (and a third, in VM, but that was not in use when I run into the current problem).

After a weekend using it on the laptop, I come to the office this morning, and started using it on the workstation.

I am not sure if I synchronised before using it, but eventually I got the infamous:

Last error: Existing item 1722 exists in cache in ....

How can I fix it?

Note that now both databases may be changed and out of sync (but the laptop was syncronised with the server).

  • I tried again, and now I get a different error code.

    The Error ID is now "949759511"...

    Similar scenario as Sergio experienced: when using a different computer, I can't sync, and keep getting the error message: existing item 3555 exists in cache in zotero.dataobject.reload.

    I have sent in an error report, number 739661443.

    Sergio, did you find a way to fix your problem?
  • I carefully restore the DB from the server:

    1) closed Firefox
    2) I moved the zotero (and storage) directory somewhere else
    3) restarted FF and Zotero
    4) restore DB from server

  • I tried these steps. But when install zotero again, I get a yellow triangle over the icon name in the browser and can't open it at all. Every time I click on it I get the message "database upgrade error." Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
