Collections disappearing from group library

We have recently had a few collections disappear from a group library. We don't believe they were accidentally deleted. As far as we can tell, the collection contents haven't been deleted, just the collection folder structure has been lost. There are other collections that are unaffected.

Is there any way we can find and restore the missing collections? What can we do to find out how this has happened so we can prevent it from happening again?

    If someone in the group still had the collections within the last couple days, they can try to restore from an automatic backup.

    These were almost certainly accidentally deleted by someone, but if you email support@zotero.org with a link to this thread and the group name and approximate date the collections disappeared, we can take a look.

    It happened, to me too, please come back to me if you need indications for checking what has happend.
