Impossible to upload the profile picture of group

I am trying to upload a photo for a Zotero group I have created.
I use a jpg file as small as 10 Kb, however I always get a message of this kind

"The mimetype of file 'photo.jpeg' could not be detected"

What is wrong?

Hello - I'm having trouble uploading a group photo as well. Is there a maximum size we should limit the file to?

Yes. Max image size is 512KB.

I'm uploading a 26KB to my group and getting this message "There was an error updating your image"

I'm also having this issue, tried a png, jpg and using images of smaller dimensions (I tried 200x200 pixels)

Sorry about that. This should be fixed. For updates it may not show the updated version immediately but we'll fix that as well.

This is an old thread, but I too am having an issue uploading an image. "There was an error updating your image." Image size is within the limits so not sure what the issue is.
