Using Microsoft Edge to edit PDFs

My default PDF viewer is Microsoft Edge and I was wondering if there is a way to save edits I make to Zotero PDFs on this viewer. I have been highlighting/annotating the PDFs, but when I close them, the modifications do not save to the copy in Zotero. Do I need to try a different PDF viewer or can I do this with Edge somehow?

Thank you!
  • I didn't use Edge for PDF reading so I can not help with. (I am trying it now, and I am unable to add any notes or highlights). You do not save the "changes" in the PDF in the Edge?
But still, I think it is better to use real PDF reader as a web browser for reading, highlighting and annotating the PDFs. Try Adobe Reader, FoxitPDF or similar tool.
  • If you save the page (Ctrl-S), this will save your annotations to the file. Be sure that you save the file in place, rather than using Save As. These changes will show up when you re-open the file from Zotero and will sync through Zotero to your other computers.
