I just downloaded zotero because Mendeley no longer plays nicely with iOS (High Sierra). I use Google as my browser and have no desire to switch to Firefox. I'm already ticked off about looking Mendeley and have heard great things about Zotero, so I would greatly appreciate help figuring this out!

    Have you downloaded Zotero, or just the Zotero Connector for Chrome?

    You'll want to make sure you have both.

    And if you do have Zotero, you're probably looking at a PDF attachment rather than a full bibliographic item. Read through Getting Stuff Into Your Library to understand the best ways to add things to Zotero. (Specifically, whenever possible you want to add a real bibliographic item rather than adding a PDF directly, though you can right-click and choose Retrieve Metadata for PDF if necessary. There's also Create Parent Item, but that's almost never what you want to use.)
