Links from other tools into Zotero

Is there some way to export from Zotero something like a URI for an entry? Note, I don't mean the subject of the entry, but the entry itself.

What I have in mind is something that would support an "open in Zotero " operation.

So, for example, I might have a list of papers that I keep in Evernote, and want to be able to put into that list a link that I could click on in order to jump to that entry in Zotero.

The Zutilo plugin can also add an option to copy those links to the right-click menu.

I'd also like to thank the developer for "Item URI", but I have an additional question, and hope this is the proper site to put it:
I successfully tried the URIs in emails (e.g. http://zotero.org/users/1530141/items/HM7FK4EK), but failed to use them within a local worksheet. From there, the links unvariably called the main zotero website, although the correct example reference was found using "HM7FK4EK" in a zotero search. What could it be I am doing wrong?

So you're linking those out from Excel and it doesn't work, am I understanding that correctly?

I'm assuming it's something weird Excel does, but I'll try to take a closer look.

I am not seeing any issues in Word or Excel (both Office 2016). Item URIs in each take me to the correct item in my Zotero.org library.

The BBT plugin can give you drag-and-drop Zotero Select links.

Thank you - I tried it out on another computer (office 2010, win7, latest zotero), and the problem occurred again; maybe it is an issue with office 2010. I'll try and upgrade office.

Zutilo's Copy Select Links works fine with LibreOffice 6 Writer and Calc: pasting a zotero://select/items/1_CP3IZ622 type entry into either produces working links. (Mac user here)

I tried on MS Excell from Office 2010 and Windows 10. Link to my library (https://www.zotero.org/libora/items/collectionKey/7N3D548D/itemKey/IQ8VUUTC)works correctly.

EDIT: I have tried it again and now it does not work? I am not sure why.

I have used a google and it seems as know bug https://superuser.com/questions/444984/excel-hyperlink-not-redirecting-properly-bug
I have applied the fix from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/218153/error-message-when-clicking-hyperlink-in-office-cannot-locate-the-inte and currently, it work in MS Excel 2010 correctly.
