Editing information of multiple items

Is there any easy way to edit information of many items simultaneously?

e.g. I have 20 items by the same author and I want to add the author information to all of them, without repeating inserting the author name 20 times ;-)

    For authors, you can use the Zutilo plugin to copy and paste creators from one item to another.

    For other batch editing, there isn’t a good interface currently. You can use python with PyZotero to edit items from the command line. A better batch editing interface is planned for Zotero 5.2 last I heard.

    I think if someone would write up a brief code example of how to do it in PyZotero the life for many would be much easier, any chance?
