Automatically save the attachment "save link to the current page"
Hello again
Is there a way to tell zotero to save the attachment (add) "save link to the current page" automatically ?
Many thanks
Ed

Generally, you should use the Create New Item from Current Page button.
For instance, when an item is saved to a collection there are several "options" on the right hand side: info, notes, attachments ....
On Attachments one can add: link to file , ..., save link to the current page , ...
I don't want to click on "save link to the current page" everytime I add a new item to a collection. Can this option be on automatically?
Many thanks

Translator is that small icon placed on the far right of the address bar, isn't it? If so, I am using translator to create the reference I want.
As for the example, any serach page from SCOPUS will do the trick.
Many thanks

This is a per-site-translator issue, and some translators—e.g., Amazon—already do this as long as "Automatically take snapshots..." is enabled in the Zotero preferences. (It applies to links as well as snapshots, though perhaps it shouldn't.) Other translators save to the URL field, though some of those are incorrect (e.g., for databases) and should be changed to create links instead.
If you provide some examples of sites that don't currently attach links, the translators can probably be fixed.
