Exporting list to Excel/word

Hi there - I want to export the list of journals with info such as title and author - to excel so that I can add information, short blurbs, key words, etc as part of a sorting process - is this possible - or is there already a function for this on Zotero? cheers ,penny

There is a way to export to Excel.

Even more simply, select the items you want to export, then right-click, choose Export Items, then choose CSV as your format. That will export to a format Excel can read.

Thank you both so much!!! you have just saved me HOURS on my thesis prep. If it helps anyone - i'm thinking this is a great way to make notes on research papers as you do big projects like thesis'. Thanks again! Penny

I would generally recommend taking notes directly in Zotero using the notes function, rather than trying to maintain separate data stores (the Zotero library and the separate Excel document). Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean?

This works fine in the Zotero software on my desktop, but there doesn't seem to be a way to export to CSV from Zotero Online. Any suggestions here? Thanks!

Nothing you can do currently. I'm not sure if Zotero devs are planning to make all export translators available online, are you @fcheslack ?
