Updating in Windows (permission error)
We're getting the message "A recommended update is available but you don't have permission to install it. To update automatically, modify the Zotero program directory to be writeable by your user account."
The users do not have admin privileges on their accounts, but most other software seems to not need it. The ones that do pop up a dialog for them to enter admin credentials, which most users have access to. But I'm not sure how to proceed with this if it doesn't give the option to enter admin credentials. I've seen a couple of other posts that are > 1 year old, but none of them really seemed to have a solution. Hoping someone's found something since then. Thanks!

Sinon, la solution de changer les droits du répertoire de zotero me semble mauvaise.
Under Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, I have the same problem. If the ppa: smathot / cogscinl were update this problem would not exist.
Otherwise, the solution to change the rights of the directory zotero seems bad.
2/ Je pensais aux droits sur #/opt/zotero.

If the PPA downloads the binary (I think it does), this script https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/blob/master/zotero5_installer.py can automatically download the latest version (or a specified version) and install it.
Est-ce que ce script est ok pour vous?
1 / In ~ / .local / opt, zotero will only be accessible by one user ~. While in #, all pc users will have access to zotero.
2 / I was thinking about rights on # / opt / zotero.
