Automatically retrieving to update linked excel file

I would like Zotero to automatically grab Excel file every time I open Zotero program. (e.g. I am updating excel file, and rather than manually uploading file each time I add data to file, can Zotero be programmed to get the Excel file with out the manual uploads?

    Is it the same Excel file attached to the same Zotero item? In that case, I would recommend opening the Excel file from inside Zotero, editing it, and saving it. Those changes will automatically be synced and reflected in Zotero.
