Can't Import Data from Zotero linked to Firefox

I can't get Zotero to work with the latest version of Firefox on my Mac. So I want to import the data from a folder that I have on my desktop into a standalone version of Zotero that I have downloaded. I don't know what the name of the file is I'm looking for or how to import it. Help, please. Kind Regards, Michael.

Tha data should be imported automatically. The data are stored in your Firefox/Zotero profile (see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/profile_directory)

What exactly are you trying to import from the folder? A PDF file?

I have my old library backed up in a folder on my desktop, but I'm not sure what file I can import into the standalone version of Zotero.

It imported the old data and then I watched it disappear again.
