Unable to start Zotero Standalone after update
'Fraid I can't provide a report ID, for obvious reasons :/
-----
I updated Zotero a couple of days ago (to version 5.0, I assume? I can't find out without starting the program, which I'm unable to do). I didn't restart it at the time because I was in the middle of working in it, and I figured it could wait. Then the next time I tried to open it, I got this error message:
"The procedure entry point ?Now@TimeStamp@mozilla@@SA?AV12@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library D:\Program Files(x86)\Zotero Standalone\xulrunner\xul.dll."
When I close that message, another one pops up saying "Couldn't load XPCOM".
Trying to start Zotero from the command line with various debug options as suggested in the docs yields the same result. Restarting my laptop doesn't help.
OS is Windows 10 Pro, version 1709, build 16299.125.

I thought I'd ask if you guys have an idea what's going on/how to fix it before attempting to uninstall and reinstall. Any tips would be appreciated!

(P.S.: I vaguely remember something similar happening years ago with a portable version of Zotero I used with a university computer account. Alas, I can't recall any details, only that there, too, I ran an update and could never start Zotero again. IIRC the uni machines had some variety of Windows 7 at the time.)

I did find something strange when uninstalling the broken copy. One, there were two Zotero entries in my app list, the second of which is still there after I (thought I'd) purged Zotero from my computer.
Two, both entries claimed to be v4.0.29.10, which is not even the newest v4, suggesting the update that broke it was never actually applied.
Any idea what might have gone wrong, so I can avoid such issues with future updates?
