Sources will not save from Chrome

Only metadata will save from Chrome, nothing else. Was working last night but now it does not work at all. I have tried deleting and reinstalling both the connector and standalone.

I also have restarted my computer (it worked for last night but now nothing).

Apparently it's a JavaScript error according to Chrome and the Zotero options.

What exactly do you mean -- you're not getting PDFs attached or something else? What are some sample URLs?

Nothing will import to the Zotero desktop application, except metadata from some sites. Also the Zotero icon in Chrome is greyed out, as is any button to export. But it says Zotero is online.

Could we get a debug ID (different from an error ID) from the Chrome Connector for loading or reloading that WaPo article?

Try the steps on Troubleshooting Translator Errors, and let us know if any of them fix the problem. You were originally getting "Only 0 translators present in cache. Resetting", which usually points to a conflict with another extension or security software.

Resetting both translators temporarily fixed the problem, but only for Amazon. Did not work for NYT or the WaPo article I was initially trying to save when the problem started.

Now it does not recognize Amazon or NYT. @dstillman

Have you disabled all other Chrome extensions?

Can you provide another Debug ID for loading an Amazon product page?

That's not a valid ID, and it would be a Report ID, not a Debug ID (which begins with 'D').

and just on an off chance -- your Zotero data directory is in its default location, right? You haven't moved it anywhere non-standard like Dropbox? (If you don't know, you haven't)

(You should still be able to save as a web page from any page on Amazon, but for full metadata it'd have to be a book or media item.)

It wouldn't let me save metadata from that particular URL, but upon searching a book it worked.

I also tested a ProQuest article and it saved just fine.

Still cannot get NYT or WaPost articles to save through the connector, but I just dragged the link to the standalone and manually input the missing information.

This should be enough for the application to do what I need it to do!

NYT and WaPo should definitely work, though. Can you provide a Debug ID for loading one of those article pages that doesn't show a newspaper icon?

I'd suggest using the WaPo link above for debug, since we know that's working for others (me, e.g.). Note, though, that the newspaper icon only shows up once the page is fully loaded, so you may have to wait a little bit.
