Zotero 5: cannot load Profile Manager

I'd like to use multiple profiles with zotero 5. The profile manager doesn't load with the options "-P", "-ProfileManager", "--ProfileManager", "-profilemanager", "--profilemanager" on Debian.

None of the options launches the profile manager... what can I do?

Are you using the Debian package or direct install from Zotero via tarball? If the former, what version exactly?

All of these work for me with a vanilla install from tar.gz on Ubuntu. Note that you have to pass the whole filepath to zotero

I am using the debian package from ppa:smathot/cogscinl which is this: https://launchpad.net/~smathot/+archive/ubuntu/cogscinl/+files/zotero-standalone_5.0.29-ubuntu1_all.deb

I was passing the whole file path to zotero: $ /usr/bin/zotero -P

it still doesn't work

Sorry, I don't know then. It's either the package or something on Debian -- someone else with the package installed would have to test.

I got the same issue. I found that zotero is located in `/opt/zotero/zotero` in Ubuntu. So I tried `/opt/zotero/zotero -P` and it works! Hope this will help those who have the same issue.
