How to open pdf and type a note on the same page in Zotero for window

Could you please advise how I can open a pdf and type on a "new standalone note" on the same screen in Zotero for window? When I click on a pdf in Zotero for window, the pdf is opened in a completely new screen.

    Hold down the Windows key and the left or right arrows to snap the PDF window to one side of the screen and the Zotero window to the other side. You can also pop out the Zotero note editor into a separate window and then snap that window to one side with Windows key + right/left arrow if you need to see more of the note window.
