Higlihgting impossible

Hello,

I seem to encounter a problem not yet encountered on the forum:

As I work on a HTML capture, the Highlighting feature doesn't work.
More precisely, the annotation works correctly, but when selecting highlight, the icon turns lightgrey, but nothing happens as i select text.

Could it be linked to a change of cursor type? (I designed my own Windows Xp cursor)?
Should I return to the classic windows Xp curor?
Should i re-install my Zotero 1.0?

In this last and extrem case, how to back-up my library?

This feature looks quite usefull, and, as working on online jurisprudence databases, it could prevent me from backing up every case I work on on a Text format, to keep my highlights (If you ever read caselaw you know you wouldn't want read one entirely twice:).

Great job on Zotero, it has now become my favorite tool!
Thanks a lot!
  • Reinstalling Zotero will not affect your data, your data is stored in a separate spot from the program itself. The issue you are having with highlighting is probably an issue with the specific pages. Try grabbing a few different sort of pages, a wikipedia page for example. Does the highlight button work on those?
  • Right! I tried with Wikipedia, and it works.

If ever possible in the future to bring the type of pages I am using in the supported types for highlighting, here is a link of an example page

    http://cmiskp.echr.coe.int/tkp197/view.asp?item=1&portal=hbkm&action=html&highlight=amende%20|%20fiscale&sessionid=22695519&skin=hudoc-fr

It is the European Human Right jurisprudence database, so I think it would please a lot of law students and researchers to be able to use the highlight feature in this database.

Anyway thanks a lot fo a so quick answear, and for the design of such a usefull program!
