HELP!!!!!!

I am a new user and I have got to get about 300 references sorted throgh by the end of the day...right.
So a couple of problems,
1, I have no problem with log in , but on log out...I get an error message, access denied
2, why can't i find my library when i log in? On login, it says my library is empty, but on another window (where I have pubmed open), the zotero library has got the couple of references I already tried to input.
3, anyone have luck with getting references from EMBASE into Zotero???

Any help would be most welcome...as you can see, I'm working against the clock...

    Syncing to the server is only available in Zotero 1.5.

    Ok...What am I doing wrong?
    I have put about 100 references in, and now I cannot get the library to open again on the computer. I see several zotero bak files on my c: drive, but when i try to open it, all I see is a blank page...yikes!

    Please describe your error and what you are trying to do about it more precisely. How are you trying to open the library? By expanding the zotero pane in the same firefox profile as you had first collected the references in? If so, what do you see? Do you get any error messages?

    Zotero stores zotero.sqlite*.bak files in your data directory. If you see tons of these in multiple directories, perhaps you are trying to use the wrong data directory?

    Read through the Zotero data page (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data) and see if it resolves your issue.

    Hi to you both, I've been looking at the support link....and I can see the files in the directory but my PC keeps asking how it should open the file and when I specify Firefox...all I get is a blank webpage.

    Don't try to open the .sqlite files. Zotero will load up the file named zotero.sqlite when you start up firefox. To load up a .bak file just change the name of the current zotero.sqlite file to something else and remove .bak from the back up file.

    ok...well, I have managed to create a file with journal attached to it...but when I start up firefox and open zotero...I still have nothing.

    really...what am i doing wrong???

    oh and i forgot to mention that while playing around with this...since restarting firefox gave me blank library, i imported a couple of more references...of course when i closed and restarted firefox...those were there, but my 100+ still nowhere to be found!

    Are all zotero.sqlite.* files in the same directory, or are they in different directories? If the latter, you may just need to change the zotero data directory (per the instructions in the support page). If they are in the same directory, it isn't at all clear what you may have done or if there is a path to recover files.

    If they are in the same directory, I guess that the only thing I'd try would be to backup all zotero.sqlite.* files and, with Firefox closed, copy one with a timestamp and/or filesize that would be consistent with your earlier/larger database over the zotero.sqlite file that is your main database (and, again, you should have backed up all files, so it shouldn't hurt to try).

    [If you have been diligent about backing up your zotero directory (perhaps with your whole firefox profile directory or even whole home directory), perhaps it'd be easiest just to restore from that backup.]

    well...i am actually now trying to see if i can use my back up file.
    and following the advice on the support page, moving the zotero files to my desktop and then copying into the active data drive my backup file...when I re-open firefox...still nothing.

    if they are gone...then what are all those bak files?!

    Whichever file is named zotero.sqlite in the data directory is used as the database. So, if you're copying a backup file in (or trying a backup file already in the directory), it needs to be renamed to zotero.sqlite.

    Of course, make sure you have a backup of everything before copying or moving any files around.

    If it's not working…re-read the Zotero data page.
