is it possible to automatically update entries in zotero, lets say with information from google scholar?

bwiernikNot currently, but this is planned (though Google Scholar generally has terrible metadata). For now, it’s best to import a new copy of the item from the publisher website, then merge the two items.

DWL-SDCAedited October 23, 2017Google Scholar is a really comprehensive index but, as bwiernik said, the metadata available for download is usually incomplete and is often wrong. It is best to follow the link to the page GS identified and download the metadata from there. Although what is on the page you view on GS is correct, what you download may provide an incomplete author listing and often the wrong journal name.
