Importing from Endnote x2.0.1

Report ID: 1288787468

I am a new user. Downloaded 1.5 beta and attempted to import an exported library in BibTex format saved as a rtf file in Vista 64-bit version.

Zotero was able to open the file and begin the import, but generated an error, which I have reported (see Report ID at top of page).

This was a clean install with nothing in the database.

  • Using EndNote's RIS export is arguably better than using the BibTeX export.

Neither one should be exported as rtf, though. Use plain ASCII text.

Thanks. I went back and exported using RIS and saved as text file. Imported with no problems.

BTW, RIS is a bit obscure in the Endnote documentation these days. They seem to be calling it RefMan or "RefMan (RIS) Export."
