Loss of data on Zotero 4

One of my PhD students is losing data of her Zotero library (not all the data, just some of them). She did not back up, and the data are also missing online, on the zotero.org web site. Is there any hope? She is using Zotero 4.0.29.23 on Firefox, on a PC, her Firefox version is 56.0.

    What exactly do you mean she "is losing data"?

    She lost all references imputted during a certain period, and she says she did not do anything special during that time.

    Most likely she's now using a different Zotero data directory from what she was using previously, and she wasn't fully in sync. If this on a different computer from where she originally added the data, she should look on the original computer. If it's the same computer, she should look for other zotero.sqlite files on her computer.

    The dates of the folders within the 'storage' subdirectory should give some indication of the time range covered by that data directory.
