Zotero file storage quote - but I have unlimited storage?

I keep getting this message, even though i have upgraded my storage to unlimited. Can you advise what to do? I cannot sync my folders

The group 'Closing Civic Space' has reached its Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server.

The group owner can increase the group's storage capacity from the storage settings section on zotero.org.

  • group storage is measured against the group owner's storage quota, not yours. If this is someone you know, you could suggest them to transfer ownership.
  • Thanks adamsmith. However, I am the group owner. Or at least I have set up a new group and moved their files into it. But it still says I do not have storage
  • Are you sure the files were removed from the old group, though? If they're still in there and you're still trying to sync, you'd get that error.
  • ah. Thank you. Let me try that.
  • I think that's worked - at least I'm no longer getting the message. Many thanks
  • No = actually it hasn't! DO i need to remove the whole group, do you think?
  • You shouldn't have to. Did you empty the trash in that group?
