Auto time out or log off option - Standalone - Multiple users

Hi. Is there a setting in Zotero that can log a user off after a certain time? It would be really useful as we have multiple users of the same standalone library. If one forgets to log off and walks away the rest of the team cannot access the library?
The online version does not suit our purposes for various reasons.
  • You should very much not run multiple users on the same Standalone database -- why not use sync? Or is that what you mean by the "online version"?
  • Yes that's what I mean by online. We like to keep our pdfs stored on a drive only shared by our team members. We didn't want to keep/store anything online. We decided that the standalone suited our needs better. It has been working very well for us.
The main issue that arises is when someone walks away from their computer while logged onto zotero- then the rest of the team is locked out. If they could auto-log off after 30 minutes, for example, it would be very useful.
  • Sorry, there's not going to be support for this; what you're doing is strongly discouraged as it can easily cause corrupted databases or other forms of data loss, so there won't be features added to support it.
(And the concept of "logging off" doesn't make sense with respect to a local Zotero installation; many people just have Zotero running all day, using it occasionally).
  • Ok. Thank you for your time.
