Bibliography that disapeared on the Word document

Hi There,

The bibliography that was at the end of my word document disapeared and I don't know how to make it appear again.

Thanks for your help
  • Try clicking the Add/Edit Bibliography button in the Zotero tab.
  • Thanks you.

We did but no text comes out on the word document. It brings us back to the Zotero blibliography list when we click.

We tried to upgrade the program but we got an error message.
  • Try showing field codes https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/word_field_codes
I'd suspect there's a rest of the bibliography left/corrupted that you need to delete. You'll then be able to re-insert it.
  • Word is not displaying field codes instead of formatted fields. It just does not insert the full bibliography list at the end
  • If the "in-text" citations are not as a field (or bookmark) then it means, that you have no record from Zotero in your document. It can be a result of "unlink citation" from Zotero.
In this case, Zotero cant create the bibliography in your document.
Check your "in-text" citations. Are they as plain text or Zotero field?
  • There are zotero field
  • What adamsmith was suggesting was to select all of the text in your document, then toggle all Field Codes on. Then, look in the place where the bibliography used to be. You will likely see the Zotero bibliography field codes showing. Delete that, then reinsert the bibliography.
