Error report ID : 615245584

Can't had a citation without having a error message.
Did all the steps here : https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#debugging_broken_documents
Doesn't work
  • It's not really possible for those steps not to work, so you'd have to say more.
  • The problem is still there after i did all that.
  • weel, except 9. Because i don't understand it.
  • Unless you get this error in a new document, or when you paste any single citation from the old document into a new document, then 8 is what makes it impossible to follow the steps and have the problem still happen.
  • I delete a part of my text. I was able to add one test citation. And when i try another one, a box appears with the "do you want to keep to modification?" But then if a click yes or no, the box stays there... no error on zotero though.

[JavaScript Error: "A field code in this document is corrupted."]
[JavaScript Error: "JSON.parse: bad control character in string literal at line 1 column 563 of the JSON data" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/integration.js" line: 2534}]"
You're getting an error that needs to be fixed in Zotero, but the document debugging instructions should let you work around it and keep working in the meantime.

You should also upgrade to Zotero 5.0.21 via Help -> Check for Updates.

Well, wait, is this the message you're getting?
The Zotero field code corresponding to this citation, which tells Zotero which item in your library this citation represents, has been corrupted. Would you like to reselect the item?

Clicking "No" will delete the field codes for citations containing this item, preserving the citation text but potentially deleting it from your bibliography.
Because if so, that message means what it says, and you shouldn't need to follow the Debugging Broken Documents steps at all. If you're getting another message, let us know exactly what it says.
