Changing references to numerical order

I'm working on a report where references are used multiple times (so reference 79 will appear about 6 times throughout the report for instance). I need to change the referencing format so they follow a numerical order throughout the report (so references will run from 1-100 for instance in order) and even though the same source is cited multiple times, it will have a new reference number each time it is cited. Is it possible to make that change via zotero or will I have to do it manually?

I hope someone can help!

Cheers,
Morten
  • Chicago Manual of Style (full note) using endnotes would do this (or any other notes style, for that matter)-- it's not technically a reference list (but just Endnotes), but if the same item is listed multiple times (i.e. as 3, 57, 79), it doesn't sound like you'd actually want a reference list.
  • Thanks so much for helping out. I think what I'm looking for us a zotero format that puts references just as numbers (in numerical order) which refer to a bibliography at the end of the report (not in the foot notes). Do you know which style would do that?
