Can't start Zotero after new installation

I get an error message that says: Zotero user data DB version is newer than SQL file

Thanks for any help you can give.

    You will have to upgrade to the most recent version of zotero that you had been using or will have to remove your zotero data directory to use the old version. Are you going back to 1.0 from 1.5? If so, why?

    Thanks, I don't think I realized I had done that, but when I reinstalled the new beta version it opens fine. Doh.
