Zotero is Offline

I get the following when I try to use Zotero both on Firefox and Chrome. I set it up on Chrome when I noticed it was missing on Firefox and after I upgraded on Firebox.

"Zotero is Offline

The Zotero Connector was unable to communicate with the Zotero desktop application. The Connector can save some pages directly to your zotero.org account, but for best results you should make sure Zotero is open before attempting to save."

I also checked the troubleshooting pages and closed my add ons and unenabled

virus ware. My report ID: 885255878

    And you have Zotero Standalone installed and running?

    I will not open a new topic, cos I have exactly the same problem when trying to save a pdf.

    OsX El capitan, Zotero standalone open, I have tried closing, reopening, first opening firefox then Zotero standalone and vice versa.
    I get the same error message and in the Connector preferences it says that Zotero is unavailable.
    However, when I follow the troubleshooting steps, I get the page with “Zotero Connector Server is Available”, but still the problem persists.

    Solved.
    However, the steps are a bit misleading in the sense that although I could connect to the page “Zotero Connector Server is Available”, I could not get the saving working.
    So http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping can be available without zotero being functional.

    But, I disabled the AdBlock, and it's fine now.

    Habe Zotero herunter geladen, bin immer noch im Offline Status. Bitte um Hilfe, sitze schon mehrere Stunden beim PC und suche nach einer Lösung des Problems.
