et al options when same first author and year

I have to journal articles with the same first author and year but the co-authors are different. In the style for Oikos this is abbreviated as follows (McEvoy, Gauslaa et al. 2007; McEcoy, Solhaug et al. 2007). However, I would like it as this (McEvoy et al 2007a; McEvoy et al 2007b). Is this possible to fix in the CSL?
