Connector on Firefox cannot connct to zotero - ID D806753419

zotero 5.0.11 is runnung
firefox connector 5.0.17 cannot connect to the http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping port.
No proxy installed.

Help please!

    Does it say Zotero Connector Server is Available when you go to the URL in firefox? Does it work on a different browser? I believe OpenSUSE comes with a firewall pre-installed. It would be weird if they blocked connections on the loopback address, but it is not out of the question, so you should look there.

    Server is not available.
    ping 127.0.0.1 works
    konqueror as another browser and lookup http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping does not work.
    I can't find a firewall rule blocking internal connections on my system.

    nmap localhost -p 23119 tells me, that this port is open

    If you can't connect to http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping from a browser when Zotero is running, something on your system is blocking access to that port.

    It's a mystery: Suddenly it works and I can connect to Zotero.

    I didn't change anything as far as I know
