Hi, I upgraded to Zotero 5.0.7 from 4 (standalone & FF) a couple of days ago and added links to the copy of 3 books. The sqlite file grew from 318 MB to 506 MB. I had understood that linking does not blow up the size of the sqlite file, that only adding the copy would do. Do I misunderstand something ? TIA, ftr
Zotero does index the full-text content of linked files, so if those files are very big, it might increase the database size due to full-text indexing, but there are various internal things in 5.0 that can also cause the database to be larger.

Thank you.
So, what is the advantage of linking instead of copying an attached file ?
