Upgrade StorageTrouble editing citation fields with Word add-in
I'm having trouble editing citation fields using the Word add-in. Citations are still linked to the bibliography. But attempting to edit one takes me to a dialog box that says Field at the top, asking me to choose a field with a list of field names. This is happening in all my word documents that use the add-in, not just the current file. These were updating fine until about a week ago. I'm using Word 2013. Updated zotero standalone today to see if that would help but it didn't.
I can re-do a citation field and it updates the references list. I just cannot go back and edit any of the citations. The documents are using different citation styles so I don't think it's that. Add-in document preferences are still set to "format using fields" and "store references in document". What might cause this? this this this

bwiernikYou are trying to edit the citations by right-clicking and choosing Edit Field. This is Word’s built-in Field function (e.g., what you would use to edit a table of contents). It is not where you edit Zotero citations. Instead, place your cursor in the citation, then go to the Zotero tab/toolbar and click the Edit Citation button there.
