Zotero - Looking at My Library Web Interface

Hi, I'm curious how to use Zotero's web interface if I need to use an unfamiliar computer that does not have Zotero installed on it. I know that some other reference managers like Mendeley allows you to view articles from the web interface. Is this possible on Zotero as an automatic process? Or do I need to attach files/add links manually for each file?

Thanks.
  • What you mean "as an automatic process"?
  • Hi, LiborA. I mean that I would like to add an article in PDF form to my library in the standalone app and then be able to also access the PDF from the web interface.

Right now, it looks like that in order to do so I'd need to go into the web interface and manually add a link or upload the article as only the entry appears on the web interface. I feel like that process is too complicated.

Is there a way where the PDF would be available on the web interface after I add it to my library on the standalone app?

    Thanks.
  • PDF files in your Zotero client are viewable in the online My Library interface if (1) your Zotero client is synced with the web interface and (2) if you are using Zotero File Storage (not linked file attachments or WebDAV storage.

Are changes to the item data made in your client showing up in the web interface? If not, see here:
