Moved from Firefox to Chrome - now won't appear in Standalone

Hi

We have recently switched from using Firefox to Chrome. We have installed the Chrome Connector but when I click the import button in Chrome, it doesn't save into the Standalone library. It just says saving to 'My Library' (however it isn't in My Library in Standalone though).

Sometimes this used to happen before when the Zotero in Firefox and Standalone weren't synced (ie. the reference would save to the Firefox Zotero only). I asked about this on the forum before and was given a solution (had to open Zotero in Firefox to fix it). However, in Chrome, there is no Zotero to open so how can I now fix this?

Thanks
Ali

Start here and make sure Zotero shows as available.

If it does, does this happen for every page, or only some? (E.g., try an Amazon product page or NYT article.) If only some, can you provide an example URL?
  • Thanks. I tried http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping and is says "Endpoint does not support method". We are not yet using version 5.0 of Standalone.

It's doing it for every page/type I try
  • Can you provide a Debug ID from the connector for a save attempt that fails?
  • Thanks for your help - seems to have fixed itself though!
  • Unfortunately, this issue is happening again. It says the reference is importing to a different group library than the one I've selected in Standalone (and then the reference isn't even then in the other group library). I did the event logging - Debug ID is D682341909.

    Any ideas? Thanks

OK, for that we'd need a Debug ID from Zotero for the save.
  • Ok thanks. I just tried it now and it did appear in the selected group library - definitely wasn't happening earlier! Debug ID is D660003671
  • Hi. Any thoughts on this? Thanks
