Error Updating Document

Hi: I have a 300 page Word Document that is not updating citations or bibliography. The error message that appears "Zotero experienced an error updating your document. Database permanently closed; not reopening"

I have just realized it only updates when done via the "Add-Ins" tab, but still not via the plugin itself.

What version of OS, Office? Do you mean you have both an Add-Ins tab and a Zotero tab?

Is Zotero itself working fine? Could you provide a Report ID?

This will not necessarily help, but if you are using Standalone, then you should upgrade to Zotero 5.0. If there is a bug, we will not patch it for 4.0 anymore.

Either way, could you submit a Debug ID for a failing update of a document?

Did you get an error message when producing this Debug ID? The log does not seem to include that.

No, Zotero crashes so the Debug ID is generated after that

This Debug ID however shows a successful update of the document. Does it only crash sometimes? Do you get any other error messages when it does?

Yes, it crashes with long Word Documents (300 pages), something which had not happened before.
