I'm having some problems with this interface - for example, instead of launching as an application, 5.0 launches as a "device" like an external hard-drive or flash-drive. Then if I close the library window (but don't quit the program) the window disappears completely I can't figure out how to open it back up again. Since I can't open the library with the Firefox button any more, I had to quit the whole application and relaunch it. (I was forcibly upgraded this morning when I had to reset my Firefox, but it seems like this isn't quite ready to go!)
@isocephaly -- could you start with your operating system and which button for closing the window you're referring to? (FWIW, there is no way I'm aware of -- other than running a very old Zotero beta version -- that'd forcibly upgrade you to 5.0 at this point)
@adamsmith: 1) The button I used to close the window was the red x at the upper left-hand corner of the window. When I closed it, Zotero was still running, but I couldn't figure out how to get the window back. I had to quit out of the program and relaunch it. I'm using Mac OS 10.10.5.
2) FWIW, when I tried to download the old extension from Zotero.org, it was no longer avail on the website.
@isocephaly Ah OK; that's not what I understood by forcibly upgraded, but either way -- could you provide I ask about the information above? We won't be able to help unless we know what you're actually looking at.
@isocephaly: It sounds like you're just describing the disk image that Zotero comes in. Nearly all Mac software (other than through the Mac App Store) is distributed this way.

When you close the window, it shuts down the program, and you have to relaunch it. If that's not happening for you, something's wrong.
