I'm not sure what the error is about. I just opened up zotero and clicked on a subfolder. This error message then appeared.

    This was an intermittent bug that could occur in 4.0. If you're seeing this often, you can upgrade to Zotero 5.0, which is now available. (We haven't yet pushed it out to existing users.)

    Thank you. Will upgrading from 4.0 to 5.0 cause me to loose access to my stored references or compatibility issues with citations in MS Word 365?

    We are not aware of any compatibility issues with word processors after moving to 5.0
