Remove Field Codes not working

Hi, I'm using the Zotero Word plugin in Word 2007 and the Remove Field Codes button does not appear to be actually breaking the links to Zotero. It warns me that it will do so, and then I click OK, but the links to Zotero appear to still be in the document. What am I missing?
