purge storage

I use Zotero simply to have a bibliographical reference, not to keep files.
I have approximatively 1000 references saved and I just reach the limit of the free storage (300MB).
Zotero proposes to "purge storage" and when I click on it, it's written:
"You are about to remove all uploaded files associated with your personal library".
I would like to know if only the associated files will be remove or also the references?
I don't need to save the associated files but I need to save the references..
  • 1000 references should not exceed limit quota 300MB or you use pictures in notes?
  • No, I don't use pictures in notes. But I saved attached pdf files with some references.
Can I run the buttom "purge storage" without remove all my references?
It's not a problem if I remove the pdf files, I just want save my references.
  • Are you sure Zotero is suggesting "purge storage"? You typically shouldn't use this. If you just want to stop syncing files, disable file sync from the "Sync" tab of the Zotero preferences. Purge won't help you here (though it won't remove the references, I'm pretty sure your files will just resync unless you disable file syncing).
  • Many thanks for your answer.
    I did what you advised.
    I also did the purge.
And I finally I re-installed the plugin Zotero.
Now I have my library again :)
