Suggestions for Zotero

I would suggest to add the following features to Zotero:
1. Possibility to move a bibliographic entry from one colletion to another collection
2. Possibility to "hard copy" an entry from one collection to the other. Hard copy means that if you modify metadata in the copy, the metadata of the original entry are not modified

EDIT:
3. Add a "collection" column that shows in which collection(s) the entry is (useful, of course, if you are visiting the "My Library" item. If you are visiting a collection, you already know this information)

    Now are these operations available too, but not in one step.
    add 1 - you can do it in two steps 1. drag and drop an item to the new collection; 2. delete the item from the old collection - I agree that drag and drop by the right button on mice or with pushing some key on a keyboard will be a nice feature.
    add 2 - you can duplicate an item and the follow steps above
    add 3 - one item can be in more collections, so I think this is not a good idea because this column will not be very helpfull if there will be a list of lot collections or subcollections.     1) is actually possible with a key modifier. It's shift+drag on Windows and Linux; I think it's different on Mac.

    3) better collection visibility is actually planned, also because it's necessary for accessibility (you can't currently move items to collections without the mouse)

    LiborA you are right, but that would be 2 steps for the first one and 3 steps for the second one (although for the second one I agree that in general metadata are all the same)

    As for the third point, holding the control key (what your link says to do) did NOT work

    Thanks adam smith the shift+drag works on windows to move between collections

    Another idea: put a "number" column, so that you can easily count how many articles you have

    The control key for identification sub/collections really works. If not, report an error.
    The number of items in sub/collection you can see if no item is or all items are selected.
