Resorting the library in FF plugin

I looked around and didn't see this anywhere. My FF plugin library has resorted itself. I don't see an option to change the sort order, it used to be sorted alphabetically by collection and then saved searches. Now each, collection and saved searches seem to be randomly sorted, although not together.

Appreciate any insight into this.
  • I don't quite understand -- are the collections no longer in alphabetical order or their content? Which version of Zotero exactly?

The collections are no longer in any order. zotero 4.0.29.20 firefox plugin ff version 54.0 b12 (beta) on windows 10 pro box

FF 53.03 on windows 7 seems to be working, although it hasn't finished syncing
  • (This is good to know, though note that in general you should expect bugs when running Zotero on Firefox betas and you should certainly note that you're running a Firefox beta in error reports. Generally the recommendation is to run Zotero betas when running Firefox betas)
  • Yes but I have been running this version of the firefox Zotero plugin on this version of the FF beta ever since starting to use the zotero plugin (granted the FF beta has changed, but not since last week - or at least not that I know of).
  • Should be fixed in 4.0.29.21, available now. (Zotero wasn't working at all in Firefox 54 Beta, and then 4.0.29.20 fixed that but left some sorting broken. We were waiting to see if there were other Firefox 54 issues before pushing a new version.)
  • so does one have to uninstall and reinstall in order to update? mine didn't install because it said that the add-on was not the one it expected.
  • Sorry about that — fixed. (Updating via the Firefox Add-ons pane would have worked.)
  • Thanks - All is right with the world, or at least my firefox/zotero!
