How can I debug bookmarklet?

I cannot get pdf files from acm.org via zotero bookmarklet. How can I debug it?

and bookmarklet never works on google scholar.

The bookmarklet is quite hard to debug. Which browser/device are you using it on?

qutebrowser, which is based on qtwebengine.

sorry, I got nothing then. You could see if you can get any output on a js console (provided qutebrowser has one) or you could try listening on the port on which it communicates with Standalone -- I think that' http://127.0.0.1:23119 -- (provided you're using that; otherwise just listen in on the https connection to the Zotero api).

ah, I get something from the js console. It says No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://dl.acm.org' is therefore not allowed access.

yeah, if I read this right, this won't work with the bookmarklet then -- it can't make cross-domain requests (the PDF being at delivery.acm.org)

hmm, then what choices do I have? Is there a zotero shell script I can use to extract bib items from url?

fwiw, mendeley's bookmarklet works fine :-)

I suppose your choices would be to run a different browser or to attach the PDF manually to the Zotero item after import.
