Syncing problem: my docs aren't syncing to group library

Hi there,

When I add papers to a group library, no one else can access them and they don't appear on my account at zotero.org.

I'm also unable to access some papers that have been added by colleagues. An error message appears: "The attached file could not be found. It may have been moved or deleted outside of Zotero." This doesn't happen on my colleague's accounts.

  • What is in the setting of the group? And do not forget that only private and closed membership groups can store attachments.
  • It's a private group. "Only members can view, only admins can edit" and I'm an admin.
  • I've set up one my group to the same values and I have not this problem.

    Also, make sure you have file attachments enabled in the group settings (that's online, I believe you should have access as an admin, but it may be the owner needs to check).

    No other group members are having problems, and this is a recent problem on my account. So I don't think it's the group settings.

    I'm now also unable to make changes to the library (report ID: 393175376)
  • You're not an admin of the group you're getting an error for. (You're an admin of the other group you belong to.)

    All other computers can access files in general but can't see the files I have uploaded.
    I can't see the files I've uploaded on zotero.org
    Syncing settings are the same on Zotero for me as for the other users.
    Should I reset file sync history on my computer?
  • but if this in a group where you don't actually have the right to edit (i.e. add files) that's what we'd expect, or what am I missing?

    If you're not getting any other sync errors, yes. (Don't use the other reset options.) If you're getting a sync error, you'll need to resolve that first.
