Dropbox sync working fine

Hi Everyone
I have had my Zotero folder synced between 4 computers (3 mac, 1 PC) using dropbox for over a year now with weekly use and no problems. I sync attachments as well as references. The threads about Dropbox are old so I wonder if I really am at risk or if perhaps others have also had a good experience using this system. I am careful to always shut down Zotero when I am finished on each computer so that may help.
Any comments from others using this system would be appreciated.
  • yes, you really are at risk. Don't do it. Yes, shutting down Zotero has likely prevented fiaskos so far, but I wouldn't rely on it and even with that this isn't failsafe.
    Apart from the risk to your data, the set-up is also so error prone that no one here will help you with any Zotero issues you experience because we'll just assume they're due to your use of Dropbox (as they likely will be).
